You will visit many sights in the convivial city of Leeuwarden, like the birthplace and residence of Mata Haria (1876-1917) , and Blokhuispoort, the self-sufficient Special Penal Prison (1477-2007), turned into a vibrant cultural center.
And of course, you shouldn’t miss the boat trip along typical cultural places in the scenic Frisian landscape.
On Wednesday we will visit the cultural hotspot Fries Museum, where you will be guided around and enjoy a choice of beautiful exhibitions.
Naturally, the program also takes into account free time for shopping in the nicest boutiques and Frisian specialty shops spread across the centre of the city. Leeuwarden has been awarded for the nicest shopping street in the Netherlands several times.
